For the ultimate family Somerset experience come and stay in our award winning Torre Tipi, nestled within the trees of our secluded 6 ½ acre orchard, on the edge of the beautiful Exmoor National Park. Inside Torre tipi is hand crafted, a bespoke bed and a mezzanine level for the children to sleep. It has mains electric and lighting with heat by way of a lovely wood burning stove. It has an inside kitchenette with mini fridge and hob, a BBQ and fire pit outside making it the perfect get away, whatever the weather.

Torre tipi is set in the middle of our beautiful, working cider orchard. It sleeps 2 in a hand crafted double bed and a pull out sofa bed for extra sleeping space. Up on the mezzanine level are two single floor mattress beds, perfect for children or small adults. The tipi has been designed with a large family in mind.

Dedicated toilet and shower can be found in the nearby utilities block, just a few steps away. The interior has been decked out to a high standard, using aged cedar and repurposed apple wood, which has been hand carved by our friends and local artists Karina and Rob Heard MBE. You will find a log burner to ensure the tent is cosy on colder days. The glamping units are situated on the far side of the site, and are separated from the public areas. There is a communal utilities block with outdoor sinks and where you will find your allocated toilet and shower solely for your use.

Externally the Tipi has an outside area with a picnic table and chairs for you to sit out on and watch the abundant wildlife that calls our orchard home. Here you will find a Webber master touch BBQ for all your outdoor cooking needs and a firepit, perfect for toasting marshmallows whilst you enjoy the incredibly dark skies offered by the protected Exmoor Dark Skies reserve, one of the darkest places in the country. You will find some books on astronomy and a dark sky guide inside the tent to help you identify what you are looking at and you may wish to download a Sky app onto your mobile phone, on a clear night you might even see the milky-way! The children will love to explore the orchard and we have a specially designed trail to excite and delight them. Inside the tent you will find a small selection of games, books and puzzles for you to enjoy as a family.

Torre Cider Farm is an award-winning small scale cider producer. The farm has a Farmhouse Kitchen, selling delicious home-made breakfasts, lunches, pizza, snacks and cakes. There is also a farm shop which stocks locally produced foods and craft products, as well as Torre Cider's own cider and apple juice, pressed on site from our apples. There is a children's playground and a number of very friendly farm animals to feed and pet. We have plenty of local walks you’ll want to take once you see what the countryside has to offer, just ask a member of our team for more information. When you are worn out, but the children are still raring to go, they can clamber onto the stationary tractor in our playground whilst you enjoy a well-earned cuppa or cider on our patio. You are also very welcome to bring the doggy members of your family to Torre Cider Farm although we do ask that they be kept off the beds, are on a lead in public areas and are never left unattended inside it. Please be aware we are a quiet campsite and ask for no loud music please and quiet after 10pm to ensure all guests enjoy their stay.

Guest have out of hours access to the children's playground and the beautiful orchard. As a working farm there are some clearly marked areas where moving farm machinery and equipment mean extra care is needed and your access is restricted, and, for your own safety, we ask that you do not enter any of our barns, sheds or outbuildings. We ask guests not to enter our onsite apiary or any of the animal pens during their stay as even the friendliest animal can become spooked when frightened. At Torre Cider we love wildlife of all sizes and to encourage them onto our site we have instigated a no-mow policy in some areas of our orchard, this means that as well as seeing some beautiful wild flowers you may encounter a few stinging nettles along the way.

Other things to note,  please be aware we are a working farm with the apple harvest being picked during the Autumn months of September and October. As a tourist attraction visitors will be onsite during the day, however, the glamping area of the orchard is not open to the public and this is clearly marked. The firelighters and logs for your first fire are provided, further supplies can be purchased onsite. Charcoal for the BBQ is available to purchase onsite. As a glamper you will have out of hours access to both the children's playground and orchard so why not have an evening BBQ or picnic with a glass of cider or two amongst the apple trees. We also have a very good local pub, The White Horse inn, within walking distance.

A lovely stay, the Tipi was cosy and warm with all the amenities that you could need. We loved the marshmallows and sticks that were there on arrival and we thoroughly enjoyed toasting them over the fire.

AMAZING! We stayed in the Tipi 2 adults 2 children age 14 and 2 for 3 nights. What a fantastic way to spend the weekend celebrating our daughter's 2nd birthday. The tipi was a new experience for us as we have not done glamping before. We would definitely come back and I would highly recommend. The beds were comfy and cozy the fairy lights make it feel warm. There was a log fire which was amazing at night. They really have thought of everything with the basic necessities you even have your own toilet and shower block with a key just perfect. The site itself was fantastic for the little one to run around and explore the animals and park and feel at one with nature whilst exploring the apple trees. Waking up in the morning and hearing the sheep and the other animals was just beautiful and at night hearing different sounds of the nighttime creatures. We also brought our dog and we visited dunster beach , watchet harbour ,blue anchor beach and thoroughly enjoyed being our family trip. Thank

We had a great couple of nights at the Tipi at Torre Cider Farm. With two little boys it was enough of an adventure to be exciting but still clean, modern and so comfortable that Mum was happy! There is a lovely play area and friendly pigs, sheep, goats and chickens that all keep the kids engaged and plenty of space to run around and burn off steam. We will be back!

We had a fantastic 4 nights in the tipi with our 3 kids (8,5,3yrs) - they absolutely loved the novelty of the tipi which was comfy and cosy with everything we needed. Beds were comfy, having our own assigned bathroom and shower worked really well and the covered porch, fire pit and hammock all extended the space so that we didn’t feel at all cramped. The tipi was a bit noisy when the wind picked up but considering it was 50+ mph winds we were impressed by how solid and sturdy it felt! The farm itself is beautifully peaceful and the fairy orchard and fairy houses are utterly enchanting. We all loved the animals, especially the piglets which we were able to feed. We found lots to do, even when the weather was unpredictable, including skateboarding and scooter session at Minehead Eye, and paddle boarding, kayaking and archery at Wimbleball lake. Would throughly recommend Torre Cider farm.

Great accommodation, just perfect for kids. The Teepee seems to promote sleep and with comfy beds and fabulous weather, we were happy as can be. Thanks for a wonderful few days.

Nice location and tipi. The new built outdoor shed is a great enhancement, also creating some privacy between the different tents.

We had a lovely weeks stay at the tipi! As a family of 4 with 2 young children it was ideal. My kids loved visiting the animals daily and had the opportunity to help Gemma feed the animals in the morning! The orchard was peaceful and idyllic and we loved how every unit was private and we made great use of the hammock provided. Only criticism we felt the fridge in the tipi wasn’t ideal for a week stay but was adequate for a few days. And the tipi decking could do with some softer seating such as cushion pads or bean bags. But we had a fab time! Thanks so much Gemma and the team!
