For the ultimate Somerset experience come and stay in our award winning Dabinett yurt, nestled within the trees of our secluded 6 ½ acre orchard, on the edge of the beautiful Exmoor National Park. Dabinett has a hand crafted, bespoke bed and is heated by way of a lovely wood burner with mains electric throughout. Outside has a hand crafted, covered kitchen/dinning area, with a mini fridge, sink and hob, plus a BBQ and fire pit area, making it the perfect get away, whatever the weather! The space outside Dabinett Yurt is set in the middle of our beautiful orchard.
Dabinett sleeps 2 in a bespoke double bed and has two single floor mattresses available. There is a dedicated toilet and shower found in the nearby utilities block, just a few steps away. The interior has been decked out to a high standard, using aged cedar and repurposed apple wood, which has been hand carved by our friends and local artists Karina and Rob Heard MBE. You will find a log burner to ensure the tent is cosy on colder days. Externally Dabinett has a covered outside patio area with a fully equipped compact kitchen, and a dining area for you to sit out on and watch the abundant wildlife that calls our orchard home. Here you will find a Webber master touch BBQ for all your outdoor cooking needs.
There is also a designated seating area and firepit, perfect for toasting marshmallows whilst you enjoy the incredibly dark skies offered by the protected Exmoor Dark Skies reserve, one of the darkest places in the country. You will find some books on astronomy and a dark sky guide inside the tent to help you identify what you are looking at and you may wish to download a Sky app onto your mobile phone, on a clear night you might even see the milky-way! The glamping units are situated on the far side of the site, and are well separated from the public areas. There is a communal utilities block with outdoor sinks and where you will find your allocated toilet and shower solely for your use. The children will love to explore the orchard and we have a specially designed trail to excite and delight them. Inside the tent you will find a small selection of games, books and puzzles for you to enjoy.
Torre Cider Farm is an award-winning small scale cider producer. The farm has a Farmhouse Kitchen, selling delicious home-made breakfasts, lunches, pizza, snacks and cakes. There is also a farm shop which stocks locally produced foods and craft products, as well as Torre Cider's own cider and apple juice, pressed on site from our apples. There is a children's playground and a number of very friendly farm animals to feed and pet. We have plenty of local walks you’ll want to take once you see what the countryside has to offer, just ask a member of our team for more information. When you are worn out, but the children are still raring to go, they can clamber onto the stationary tractor in our playground whilst you enjoy a well-earned cuppa or cider on our patio. You are also very welcome to bring the doggy members of your family to Torre Cider Farm although we do ask that they are kept off the beds, are on a lead in public areas and are never left unattended inside it. Please be aware we are a quiet campsite and ask for no loud music please and quiet after 10pm to ensure all guests enjoy their stay.
As a working farm there are some clearly marked areas where moving farm machinery and equipment mean extra care is needed and your access is restricted, and, for your own safety, we ask that you do not enter any of our barns, sheds or outbuildings. We ask guests not to enter our onsite apiary or any of the animal pens during their stay as even the friendliest animal can become spooked when frightened. At Torre Cider we love wildlife of all sizes and to encourage them onto our site we have instigated a no-mow policy in some areas of our orchard, this means that as well as seeing some beautiful wild flowers you may encounter a few stinging nettles along the way.
Other things to note, please be aware we are a working farm with the apple harvest being picked during the Autumn months of September and October. As a tourist attraction visitors will be onsite during the day, however, the glamping area of the orchard is not open to the public and this is clearly marked. The firelighters and logs for your first fire are provided, further supplies can be purchased onsite. Charcoal for the BBQ is available to purchase onsite. As a glamper you will have out of hours access to both the children's playground and orchard so why not have an evening BBQ or picnic with a glass of cider or two amongst the apple trees. We also have a very good local pub, The White Horse inn, within walking distance.

Reviews
We stayed at the cider farm for 3 nights, we were really impressed with the yurt and how comfortable it was, the facilities were spotless and the orchard is stunning. The farm was lovely to walk around also. We spoke to a few locals on our travels and everyone was so friendly, the pub down the road, the white horse, was lovely. Highly recommended and can’t wait to return. 🫶🏻
My family and I stayed at the Torre Cider Yurts this weekend and we didn't want to leave! From the peaceful, beautiful scenery to the delicious home-cooked breakfasts, we honestly couldn't have asked for more! We already know that we will be returning one day! The hosts were fantastic and very helpful and the location was superb! There is nothing better than waking up in a cosy, log-fired yurt with beautiful blue skies and a cup of tea, it really was idyllic. Thank you so much!!
Great attention to detail. Great, imaginative interior design. Well equipped. Have stayed before and would like to stay again.
A lovely glamping site with everything you'd want for a relaxing, family stay. Pizza night on Saturday was an added bonus! Our children loved meeting the animals and exploring the orchard. Overall a fantastic family holiday spot.
What a magical place! The yurt had everything one may need, children loved spending time outside chasing each other between the apple trees and farm shop served very good food which was handy. There are plenty local areas to explore, recommend fossil beach and Dunster castle. We will definitely come back!
We absolutely loved our stay, the location was idyllic, something Tolkieneque. Dabinett yurt was the perfect hobbit-hole with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The Cider is a must try when you stay, it's a God send on a hot day, you can sit in the on-site restaurant, watching your kids play in the park whilst sipping down some lovely scrumpy. We'd definitely come back here next time we're visiting Somerset.
Great stay, loved the grounds and the animals. They even let the sheep roam around when the farm closes. Also the cider is lovely
Where to even start. Myself, my husband and two children visited here. What an amazing location surrounded by incredible views and scenery. The Dabinett Yurt we stayed in, we were blown away with how beautiful it was, so clean and set out with everything you could need with so much room both inside and out. You get your own dedicated toilet and shower very clean and nice to have your own facilities. One thing I loved is that we had zero phone signal, it was refreshing to put the screens down and really connect as a family. There is a little farm and park where the kids loved to go and play. A lovely walk you can go on and walk through the orchard is beautiful and see all the fairy houses. There is a little shop onsite where we bought there own cider (Blackcurrant Cider is amazing) We will most defiantly be back
The Dabinett yurt is beautiful and set in the middle of the orchards. We loved the peaceful atmosphere. Having the fire pit was also great for keeping warm. When the shop was closed and I wanted to get some cider the hosts opened the shop for me, allowed me to do some tasting and then helped me carry my purchases back to the yurt! Such friendly people and a lovely stay.
Very good breakfast site was great we had a fabulous time first time glamping and not the last weather was spot on loved seeing the pigs etc
