This is a wonderful place to get a feeling of living in an old city house. The place is entirely renovated and beautiful! The host is friendly and ready to help. I can only recommend staying at this Michiya❤️

Me and my girlfriend had a lovely stay at Kokonoe Machiya. Toni is a wonderful host, we had great talks with him, laughed a lot and he also gave us some very nice tips about what to do in Kioto. A great guy with a wonderful place, we would recommend staying here to everyone :)

Toni ist ein sehr herzlicher Gastgeber, der sich gut um seine Gäste kümmert. Die Unterkunft ist sehr neu renoviert und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Sowohl das Zimmer als auch die Duschen und anderen Gemeinschaftsräume waren sehr gepflegt und sehr sauber. Die Anbindung an Bus und Bahn ist gut (5-10 min zu Fuß entfernt) und 7eleven ist auch in der Nähe (ca. 5 min). Gerne wieder! :)
