For the ultimate Somerset experience come and stay in our award winning Yarlington yurt. It is nestled within the trees of our secluded 6 ½ acre orchard, on the edge of the beautiful Exmoor National Park. Yarlington is heated by way of a lovely wood burner with main electric throughout. Outside has a hand crafted outside covered kitchen/dinning area, with a mini fridge, sink and hob, plus a BBQ and fire pit area, making it the perfect get away, whatever the weather!
Yarlington Yurt is set back in the middle of our beautiful orchard, therefore slightly more secluded, making it perfect for a romantic getaway. It sleeps 2 in a bespoke, hand crafted double bed and has two single floor mattresses available. There are electricity sockets, USB charging points and lighting. The interior has been decked out to a high standard, using aged cedar and repurposed apple wood, which has been hand carved by our friends and local artists Karina and Rob Heard MBE. You will find a log burner to ensure the tent is cosy on colder days.
Outside Yarlington has a covered outside patio area with a fully equipped compact kitchen, and a dining area for you to sit out on and watch the abundant wildlife that calls our orchard home. Here you will find a Webber master touch BBQ for all your outdoor cooking needs. There is also a designated seating area and firepit, perfect for toasting marshmallows whilst you enjoy the incredibly dark skies offered by the protected Exmoor Dark Skies reserve, one of the darkest places in the country. You will find some books on astronomy and a dark sky guide inside the tent to help you identify what you are looking at and you may wish to download a Sky app onto your mobile phone, on a clear night you might even see the milky-way! .
There is a communal utilities block with outdoor sinks and where you will find your allocated wet room with a toilet and shower solely for your use no more than 20meters away. Children and adults alike will love to explore the orchard and we have a specially designed trail to excite and delight. Inside the tent you will find a small selection of games, books and puzzles for you to enjoy. The glamping units are situated on the far side of the site, and are well separated from the public areas.
Torre Cider Farm is an award-winning small scale cider producer. The farm has a Farmhouse Kitchen, selling delicious home-made breakfasts, lunches, pizza, snacks and cakes. There is also a farm shop which stocks locally produced foods and craft products, as well as Torre Cider's own cider and apple juice, pressed on site from our apples. There is a children's playground and a number of very friendly farm animals to feed and pet. We have plenty of local walks you’ll want to take once you see what the countryside has to offer, just ask a member of our team for more information. When you are worn out, but the children are still raring to go, they can clamber onto the stationary tractor in our playground whilst you enjoy a well-earned cuppa or cider on our patio. You are also very welcome to bring the doggy members of your family to Torre Cider Farm although we do ask that they be kept off the beds, are on a lead in public areas and are never left unattended inside. Please be aware we are a quiet campsite and ask for no loud music please and quiet after 10pm to ensure all guests enjoy their stay.
We are a working farm, there are some clearly marked areas where moving farm machinery and equipment mean extra care is needed and your access is restricted, and, for your own safety, we ask that you do not enter any of our barns, sheds or outbuildings. We ask guests not to enter our onsite apiary or any of the animal pens during their stay as even the friendliest animal can become unpredictable when frightened. At Torre Cider we love wildlife of all sizes and to encourage them onto our site we have instigated a no-mow policy in some areas of our orchard, this means that as well as seeing some beautiful wild flowers you may encounter a few stinging nettles along the way. Other things to note Please be aware we are a working farm with the apple harvest being picked during the Autumn months of September and October.
As a tourist attraction visitors will be onsite during the day, however, the glamping area of the orchard is not open to the public and this is clearly marked. The firelighters and logs for your first fire are provided, further supplies can be purchased onsite or locally. Charcoal for the BBQ is available to purchase onsite. As a glamper you will have out of hours access to both the children's playground and orchard so why not have an evening BBQ or picnic with a glass of cider or two amongst the apple trees. We also have a great local pub, The White Horse Inn, within walking distance.

Reviews
We stayed in the Yarlington yurt which was absolutely wonderful, almost like something from a fairytale. We were given excellent instructions on how to get to and access the property and facilities and it was very well appointed. The only disappointments were well beyond the control of the owners in that the weather was terrible, so we were unable to make the best of the available facilities in the fire pit and barbeque. One other point of note is that if you are planning to eat at the local pub, do make a booking. They were unable to accommodate us as they were fully booked and were also asked to drink outside despite being half empty. I would heartily recommend staying at Torre Cider Farm and would love to go back in better weather.
We had a lovely stay at Torre Cider Farm. Great location near Exmoor, the coast and Quantock Hills. The hosts communicated well in advace and quick to respond when needed. Facilities were clean, location private, and great to enjoy the cider made on site!
We loved our stay, our Yurt was secluded yet a minutes walk to all amenities. Staff and Hosts were friendly and the food was great! We will be going back for sure 👌🏽
What a fabulous place to stay for true nature lovers! Great facilities, the Outside kitchen was excellent and all you needed for a stay was included. Owners thought of everything. Cannot fault the amenities available. Being a true townie and glamping for the first time, I was surprised to have everything available. A little road noise was not expected but couldn’t be helped. Overall a great stay for anyone used to the outdoors and all it has to offer.
Perfect stay - amenities were great, location was brilliant for exploring the local area and staff were super helpful. Will definitely be back
Loved our third stay here, great setting and location!
Me and my 3 teenage children had the best time away from the city and in to the beautiful place of Torre cider. So much peace! It was quiet, private and we could make the place our own! Absolutely amazing. We have told friends and family about this place and will definitely return. Thank you to the hosts for everything they left for us and being some quick in response to questions before we got there! So helpful. We had an amazing time x
We had a fantastic stay in the Yurt! The Yurt had absolutely everything we could need for a fantastic first glamping experience. Our children loved seeing the animals (especially feeding the lambs) and playing in the playground. There is so much to do in beautiful Somerset and we will definitely be back!
A lovely place to stay in the countryside with a lovely relaxed atmosphere where all you need to know is provided in advance.
