Reviews
Excellent breakfast. A range of meals but ample and very well prepared. Lovely location in a small village close to Winchester and the A33/A34.
Lovely breakfast, charming location.
Beautiful family run pub with beautiful furnishings. Very comfortable rooms. Gorgeous village with quaint buildings with thatch roofs. Wonderful hospitality. Loved our stay!
All OK
The location, the facilities and the staff were all perfect. The food was excellent too and they had a nice selection of ales.
We stayed at the cricketers in as it was a short 20 minute drive on our way to a cruise in Southampton. The venue is a lovely quiet traditional pub with comfortable rooms above. Andrew took care of the both of us whilst we were guests and nothing was too much trouble (we did feel for him, as he was on his own the evening we stayed and he didn’t stop!) The room was comfy, spacious, clean and very quiet. Plenty of tea and coffee making facilities with refills on the landing was a great addition so we didn’t have to ask for additional tea bags or milk. We had an evening meal at the venue pub. The food was delicious very reasonably priced (the cottage pie was delicious!) The options for breakfast looked great on the menu, however we were off fairly early so didn’t take that offer up. Will 100% be using this venue for its location, warmness & value for money for future stop overs.
It was a 10 plus. A most delightful stay. Made most welcome and everyone extremely helpful. In a lovely interesting village.
A nice quiet village location in close proximity to Southampton. Staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful. We had an evening meal and breakfast and both were produced and presented to a very high standard. Rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. We are so impressed, we have booked our next visit. A big thank you to our hosts and good luck for your upcoming Christmas event.
Everywhere was really clean and comfortable
Stayed here for 4 nights attending a wedding. The rooms were very comfortable and clean with everything we needed. The beds are very comfortable. The hosts were exceptional they couldn't do enough for you and were very friendly and helpful, you couldn't fault them. The food was delicious and well presented. They even had decaff coffee satchets in the room which was a first for me and very welcome. Despite it being a village pub there was no major noise issues at all. We would definitely recommend staying here and when we visit again we will being staying there.
