CHECK-IN Y CHECK-OUT
ü Check-in: Is from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
ü Check-out: Is until 11:00 hs.
ü Late check-out: Late departures after 11:00 a.m. have an additional charge equivalent to the price of one night. You can request the "Late Check-out Service" if you prefer to stay in your room from 11:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the latest (subject to availability). Service fee: 50% of the rate for the day of departure. It will be confirmed upon check-in. Payment is due at check-in.
ü Early check-in: Early access to the room before check-in time is possible with an additional charge of 10% of the first night’s rate (subject to availability). It will be confirmed directly at the reception on the day of arrival.
ü Hours of silence: Between 00:00 and 08:00 a.m. The use of common areas (kitchen, living room, hallways, terrace) is not permitted during silent hours. In case of exceptions, they will be communicated through posters.
ü Reception: Service from 08:00 a.m. to 00:00 a.m.
LUGGAGE STORAGE SERVICE
ü The day of your check-in is free.
ü The day of your check-out is free until 8:00 p.m.
ü The time for luggage claim is between 08:30 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.
ü After 11:00 p.m. no luggage will be delivered. Luggage can be collected the next day from 08:30 a.m.
ü Each day of luggage storage after check-out will have a daily charge of $2.000 per package.
CURRENCY EXCHANGE, RATES AND PAYMENT PROCESS
ü Hostel rates in each OTA (Online Travel Agency) are set in US dollars, due to daily variations of this currency in the local market, the final price of reservations may vary on the day of your arrival.
ü VAT is not included in the price of reservations (except for direct reservations).
ü Non-resident foreigners can avoid paying VAT if they present their valid PDI immigration card, their valid passport, and pay in US dollars at the time of check-in.
ü We accept cash in Chilean pesos, US dollars (only in excellent condition), PayPal and bank transfers.
ü The period to obtain free cancellation or modification of the reservation may vary depending on each OTA (Online Travel Agency, like Booking.com, Hostelworld, Expedia, etc.). For direct reservations, notice must be given 72 hours (3 days) before the check-in day. Does not apply to non-refundable rates and/or special dates such as New Year's Eve, September 18, among others.
ü National holidays such as: New Year, National Holidays, Christmas and Easter, may have different rates and terms and conditions.
ü New Year. All reservations between December 30th and January 1st (inclusive) are non-refundable. Payment: The full amount for the reservation must be paid in advance via credit card or bank transfer at the time of booking. If the credit card is declined at the time of payment, the reservation may be canceled. No refunds will be given for cancellations, no-shows, or early departures. Cancellation: If you cancel, modify, or do not show up, the charge will be the full price of the reservation plus taxes.
ü Breakfast is not included in the value of the reservation, unless explicitly specified in the reservation.
GUESTS UNDER 18 YEARS OLD
ü We accept guests under 18 years of age only when traveling with their parents, or traveling with notarized permission from their legal guardian. You must present documentation proving the relationship at check-in. They can only stay in private rooms with a private bathroom.
ü Children up to and including 4 years old can stay for free if and only if they share a bed with their parents.
ü Children 5 years old or older must pay for their stay.
SECURITY, VISITS AND CODE OF BEHAVIOR
ü External visitors are not allowed.
ü All guests must wear the Hostel identification wristband throughout their stay
ü We do not allowed people under the influence of alcohol or any type of drug or narcotic.
ü The establishment reserves the right of admission.
ü Damages and expenses incurred by the Hostel due to actions of any guest will be charged before check-out or
ü later charging the total fine to the guest's registered credit card.
ü Maki Hostels promotes respect and strongly condemns all types of discrimination and abusive behavior. Any type of illegal act will be reported to local authorities
ü Maki Hostels is not responsible for thefts inside the building.
ü Smoking is only allowed on the terrace of the establishment. Failure to comply with this rule will include a fine of $100,000 (this rule is not worth violating).
ü It is prohibited to hang towels, clothes or any type of element on the windows or balconies of the Hostel.
ü Please do not throw toilet paper or other items into the wc.
ü Shared bathrooms: Please close the shower door tightly, place the curtain tightly and prevent the floor from getting wet. Dry the floor if it gets wet after using the shower.
ü Repeated violations (more than one) will be penalized with eviction without the possibility of a refund.
BREAKFAST AND COOKING
ü We kindly request our guests to wash and keep the shared kitchen clean each time they use it.
ALCOHOL AND FOOD CONSUMPTION
ü Alcoholic beverages are not allowed inside the Hostel on days when events are held.
ü Food consumption and alcohol consumption are not allowed inside the shared bedrooms.
LOST OBJECTS
ü All lost items found inside the property will remain stored for 30 days (from the day of check-out).
DOGS AND PETS IN GENERAL
ü We are DOG FRIENDLY. Please check with reception and wait for approval before visiting the Hostel with dogs.
ü Only dogs are allowed as pets. Any other animals (cats, ferrets, rabbits, etc.) are not allowed.
ü In common areas of the hostel please always have him on his leash.
ü The dog can only do its needs outside the hostel. Bring bags please.
ü The dog cannot be left alone in the room, or in any space of the hostel.
ü If the dog accidentally damage something, we will evaluate the situation and you will have to pay an appropriate fine.
ü They can only stay in private rooms.
ü A daily fee will be charged per dog per day.
PARKING
ü We recommend parking at "Estacionamiento Paseo del Puerto," located less than a 5-minute walk from the hostel.
ü Payment is made directly at the parking lot (cash only).
